Surfing’s Dark Side on the North Shore | The New York Times
The blonde guy didn't know how to fight…that take down was easy to deal with..knee on the face…good night.
F these guys. So in their eyes if they don't think you are good enough you can't go in??? last time I checked you don't own the waters. put them in jail
You can see that it has little to do with respect and everything to do with selfishness and wanting to have the waves to yourself.
Dogs
no one should claim to be the owner of the beaches
These aren’t really surfers just future jailbirds.
Eddie Rothman, Mainland Jew claiming local hahaha i never understood that one.
We were threatened in the winter of 1968. Told to leave break or suffer the consequences. Long time problem with locals but it happens at every break in california
Part of this tale is true. The Aussies showed up and acted entitled. And the black shorts gang responded. But not just against Aussies. Against anyone that was not connected to them in some way. Beyond that, locals wreaking violence on outsiders is universal. Any good break anywhere in the world has its share of this type of situation.
Positioning in the pack for waves has its own chess-like moves. The meanest and the best riders dominate the best position(s) of a break. But it is a fluid situation. One's ranking for position can improve or decrease depending on how well you ride.
Positioning in the pack is a part of surfing.
Wonder what the rules regarding deadly force are in Hawaii. If Kala tries that on the wrong beach in Florida his blood might paint the sand
Easter egg hunts. Ahahahaahahahaha
As a lifelong surfer from the age of eight (next year I'll be 70), I have to say the idea of surfers being somehow enlightened falls apart as soon as it gets crowded. Whether you are a local or a visitor it makes things better when you bring your good manners and, yes respect with you. There's a world full of numbskulls like Kala. But there's also a bunch of beautiful folks out there spreading good vibes if you choose to see them.
Kala "you come out here and disrespect"
Anyone* just paddling out to have a fun time
Kala* 🤬💪🤛
Eddie Rothman talking about other people coming from the "mainland" but he isn't even from Hawaii he is from the mainland and moved to Hawaii.
Steamers burn waves
Proofing that humans are idiots.
Haha dat haole taking dirty lickens funny af.😂
American's and foreigners have no rights in Hawaii at all!! No treaty with the United States!!
These boys, Eddie and Alex are just bullies! Eddie born in Philadelphia is full of s**t. I lived on the NS 80-87 I witnessed these boys
What a bunch of tools
Flat out, competitive surfing is not in keeping with our culture and habit. This reality is all over Hawaii. The most aggressive people we encounter are usually from somewhere else.
New York ruined america . Streight up
lmao i dont see many peaceful poeple with knuckle tattoos
localism at any break is poison… idiotic excuses for logic make da hui and other gangs just another self serving assembly of fools…
remember that hawaii was once ruled by a king that won by driving many people, men women and children off a cliff to their demise…
no honor and less respect to these retrograde losers…
Surfers are the worst, most immature cocksuckers in any sport.
Big tough little man.
